My name is Crystal Chilcott-Ruzycki, I’m a former serial job hopper turned entrepreneur. Throughout my career, I’ve had a variety of roles, including working as a figure skating coach in Iceland and teaching English as a Second Language online and in the classroom. While each job taught me valuable skills, they all shared a common theme: financial struggle.
As a classroom teacher, I realized that the profession wasn’t sustainable for me in the long term. I was constantly getting sick, and the workload was overwhelming. However, I realized that the worst-case scenario wasn’t catastrophic. I could work extra side gigs to cover expenses, and my investments were tax-deductible.
