The grace of God is the unmerited favour and ability of God that is given to everyone who is called a Child (Son or daughter) of God to live a fulfilling Christian life, but you only receive this abundant grace through the act of faith by accepting Christ as your personal Lord and savior. Please take a few moments to read and meditate on the following couple of scriptures:
1 Corinthians 15:10 (KJV): “But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me”.
Romans 5:15 (KJV): “Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more boldly unto you in some sort, as putting you in mind, because of the grace that is given to me of God”.
The above portions of scriptures indicate clearly that not much work is demanded from the recipient of grace because all the work of grace was already done by Jesus on the cross of Calvary. When you receive this grace, it enables you to do the work God has committed to you, be it on your Family, Job, Marriage or life generally. Grace helps you to become a better version of yourself in all areas.
The grace we have obtained as God’s own people is much more than the offence of Adam and Eve, who brought the entire human race under sin. Abundant grace is the Supernatural ability that Christ has given to all mankind and this can only work for the one who activates it.
Grace must be handled with care; it doesn’t give the opportunity for abuse by engaging willfully in sin because of the erroneous assumption that Grace has done everything for us.
That Christ has surely settled it all for us doesn’t give us the license to live irresponsibly in our conduct and dealings.
There is always something to do, grace is not given for nothing, it is released upon us to empower us to do the impossible; Philippians 4:13.
It enables you to do what the ordinary strength of man cannot do; it is the ability to do more for God. This subject of Grace has been abused by people who don’t really understand what it is all about – 1Corinthians 10:23, 14:40.
THE ABILITIES OF GRACE
a. Grace makes you useful and not useless.
b. Grace makes you responsible and not a liability.

Please note the following salient facts:
* Any grace that reduces you in any way is not of Christ.
* Any grace that makes you a liability is not the one Christ paid for on the cross.
* Grace is the product of the fullness of the knowledge of God and His son Jesus Christ – John 1:17, 2 Peter 3:18.
* Without the knowledge of the Holy Ghost, you can’t enjoy the true fullness of God’s grace.

HOW TO CONNECT TO GRACE
1. The character of humility – (James 4:6; 1 Peter 5:5; Proverbs 3:34; Number 12:3; Exodus 11:3; Genesis 41:15-16; 1 Kings 3:7; Ephesians 3:8; 1 Corinthians 15:10).
* You must be humble to understand kingdom principles so as to operate easily in grace.
* Humility is a facilitator of grace, the humblest of men are the most engraced of men.
* Nothing destroys like pride, arrogance is a killer of grace. Nothing kills grace like pride; anytime people begin to praise you they are trying to kill the grace of upon you.
2. The life of prayer. (Hebrew 4:16; 1 Corinthians 15:10; Ephesians 3:8; 1Corinthians 14:18; Ephesians 6:18; 1Thessalonian 5:17).
*The throne of God is the headquarters of Grace. Always be connected to it.
*Gracefulness is a product of prayerfulness and gracelessness is the outcome of prayerlessness.
Without contradiction or equivocation, Paul the apostle carried grace
Every carrier of grace is a person of prayer
Any spirituality that deprives you of prayer deprives you of grace.
Grace comes through continuous prayer and praise to God – Hebrews 13:15, Jeremiah 33:11.
3. The character of generosity (2Corinthians 8:6-8)
Generosity is a major key to enjoying grace; givers never lack grace.
Giving is a major secret of growing in grace.
If you don’t withhold anything from God and man, God will not withhold grace from you.
Abundant grace makes great men.
